OtterBox HP iPAQ 210 Extended Battery Defender Case Review

OtterBox has a reputation for creating very durable cases that protect devices from our klutzy and chaotic lives. As part of the Defender series, the OtterBox HP iPAQ 210 Extended Battery Defender Case is no exception.

As you should guess from its name, the OtterBox HP iPAQ 210 Extended Battery Defender Case is designed specifically for the HP iPAQ 210. Keep in mind that OtterBox offers similar Defender series cases (as well as other case designs) for other PDAs and devices as well.

This case offers three layers of protection for your iPAQ 210. The first layer is a thin, Thermal Formed plastic sheet that protects the screen and buttons from scratches. The second layer of protection comes by means of the hard polycarbonate shell that protects the iPAQ from bumps and drops. Finally, a silicone skin surrounds the case to help protect against shocks and hold everything in place. This silicon skin is removable, providing easy access to the polycarbonate shell that divides in half to make it easy to insert and remove your iPAQ from the case.

The OtterBox HP iPAQ 210 Extended Battery Defender Case is a sizeable, yet very sturdy, case. Although the case may seem a bit bulky at first glance, it’s really not bad for the amount of protection it offers. When held in the hand, the case feels very comfortable.

When you pick up the OtterBox HP iPAQ 210 Extended Battery Defender Case, you’ll notice the back of the case has indents for your fingers. This provides a nice grip for the case. As you examine the case further, you’ll see that OtterBox has provided rubber covers that protect many of the iPAQ 210’s ports while still providing easy access to them.

The OtterBox HP iPAQ 210 Extended Battery Defender Case also comes with a very nice holster and belt clip. When the iPAQ 210 is docked in the holster, the screen is turned towards the holster, protecting it from outside elements. It’s easy to slide the PDA in and out of the holster.

I like the way the OtterBox HP iPAQ 210 Extended Battery Defender Case protects all of the ports of the iPAQ 210 while still providing easy access to them. All in all, if you’re looking for serious protection for your iPAQ 210, this is an excellent case to consider.
