NS Basic comes in 3 flavors, Palm, Pocket PC, and Newton
OS. What I really like is the beautiful Visual IDE that comes with NS
Basic, making programming a pleasure. Even if you've never programmed
before, the Basic Language is one of the easiest to learn but still packed with
a lot of power. One of the biggest advantages NS Basic is price. As
of the writing, you can get NS Basic for as low as $149 for one OS or $249 for
both Palm and Pocket PC. Not bad when, you consider Appforge(a fine
program itself), which does basically the same thing as NS Basic, costs $899
plus you need Microsoft Visual Basic at an additional cost. If you
want a great, powerful, low cost tool to program for the PDA, check this
