A PDA fanatic herself, Jennifer Johnson has been writing about PDAs and many other gadgets since 2005.
Experience:
In August of 2000, Jennifer set a goal to trade in her paper planner and go digital by the end of the year. Within just a couple of weeks, she had already completed the transition and has been passionate about PDAs ever since. She began her career in technical journalism while in college by writing user manuals for various software development projects. After college, Jennifer began writing full-time for Smart Computing, PC Today, CPU, First Glimpse, and Processor magazines. Later, she transitioned to the Web, where she currently writes for About.com and HotHardware.com. In these roles, she has covered a variety of topics including PDAs and mobile technology. For as long as she can remember, Jennifer has been helping friends and family get more utility from their PDAs and gadgets. She believes that technology makes life more enjoyable and desires to help others grow in their love for technology.
Education:
Jennifer graduated from the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and minors in Communication, Math, and Computer Science.
From Jennifer Johnson:
If there’s one thing I’m passionate about, it’s technology. More specifically, I’m passionate about making technology work for you to help make your life easier. Ever since I converted from a paper planner to a PDA, I’ve never thought twice about switching back. I truly enjoy the additional functionalities and conveniences that come with using a PDA, not to mention the peace of mind that comes from knowing the valuable information my PDA contains is duplicated on my PC for safe-keeping. If you lose a paper planner, you’re out of luck. If you lose your PDA, at least the information is still available on your computer. If you haven’t already “taken the plunge,” I encourage you to do so—digital organization is great!
