Resco Explorer 2009 for Palm OS Released
Resco recently released its latest file manager for the Palm OS, Resco Explorer 2009. Explorer 2009 moves, copies, finds, and edits files on the go, giving you complete file management.
If your PDA has a network connection or a Bluetooth radio, you can copy images off of your PDA, grab files from your Windows PC via Wi-Fi, save important files to an FTP server, and more.
Here's a look at some of the new features:
File Sync
Resco Explorer 2009's Folder Sync helps you keep files synchronized between two folders--on your handheld, or on a network.
Card Scan
Resco Explorer has a card scanner that will help you detect damaged file systems that could lead to data loss on your Palm OS device.
Better Network Engine
Resco Explorer supports FTP, Bluetooth file transfer, and SMB (Windows) shares. With version 2009, Resco revamped the network core, improving SSL support for even higher security.
Tarball Support
In addition to support for zip files, Resco File Explorer 2009 makes it possible to get files out of compressed and uncompressed tarballs (.tar, .tar, .gz, .taz, .tgz).
