A recent article from UKFamily talks about the positive effects of giving a PDA to a child. Because PDAs resemble computer games console, they’re well receive by children who have trialed use of the device. According to the UKFamily Web site, Dean Bank Primary school in Durham has been using PDAs for three years. Head teacher Chris Young is thrilled with their success rates: “We got involved in them because we were so impressed by the work that had taken place in other parts of the country and the results they had in terms of engaging boys, promoting links between school and home and raising literacy standards.”
