As the holidays approach and people are thinking about ways to keep their favorite electronic devices powered up while traveling, consider portable power options that will provide power even when you're away from an outlet. Callpod's Fueltank Duo may cost more than your average wall charger, but your favorite devices will always have power and you won't be tied to an outlet. Plus, you'll get added convenience by eliminating a mess of cords from your travel bag. Check out my review of the Callpod Fueltank Duo here.

The other day, I told you about Google's plans to offer free Wi-Fi in many airports throughout the country. Now, Microsoft and Yahoo are joining in the spirit of the upcoming season with their own free Wi-Fi offerings.
Microsoft has partnered with JiWire to give users free Wi-Fi in exchange for doing at least one Web search on Bing. Although exact service locations haven't been revealed, you'll likely find the free Wi-Fi from Bing and Microsoft at airports and hotels. Yahoo plans to offer free wireless Internet for all of New York City's Times Square for an entire year.
Thanks to offerings such as these, surfing the Internet from your PDA while on the road is getting easier and easier.
